I did that for about an hour and now instead of 50% on beat I’m hitting about 76% so definitely improving.

Have you had a look at those? Also try the practice arena. I changed the cat head beat to number two setting which helped me a lot compared to the default one.

This will help you build an internal sense for the beat your body will be able to pull from much more instinctively.

Depending on your personal preference, just sit there for a minute and count the beats or snap along with Chai. To get a feel for the beat you can start by just looking at Chai's idle pose. As many visual references there are, it's a lot harder to focus on them in the heat of battle.
